KEMAMAN - Turtle
& Pearl Night
Turtle watching is a past time that is unique
in this part of West Malaysia, a fascinating
phenomenon not to be missed by anyone with the
slightest instincts of a conservationist. Every
year from May to September, giant leatherback
turtles will come ashore to lay their eggs.
Chendor Beach is a common nesting ground for
these turtles. Watch as the giant turtles lumber
up to the beaches and the "tears"
they produce after they lay their eggs as they
make their way back to the open sea.
